Here is something we tried as a Reading Resonse activity. The students worked in groups to make a Quadrama about the book their group was reading. They had to choose main events from the story and make a scene about it. They really enoyed working on this and I saw great collaboration and team work.

Here are some of the finished products and you are welcome to come into the classroom to see the rest. The finally part of the activity was the group standing in front of the rest of the class to tell the story they read using their scenes, or Quadramas, as prompts. Part of this was filmed and I'm hoping to use these clips in their three way interviews later in the term.

 

 

Here is a hands on maths activity we did last week. The students were required to build a model with a partner (drawn randomly from our container of sticks). They then counted how many blocks the model took by pulling them apart and placing the colours together. They then made a graph from the blocks.  Next week we will draw the graph and begin some repeated addition, leading to multiplication.
